Today’s Auxiliary in Action is VFW Auxiliary 5867 in California!
“Our Auxiliary has really gotten into meeting our veterans at hospitals,” said Barbara Channell, member of the Lakeside, California Auxiliary after the group visited several veterans during National Salute to Veteran Patients Week. Love was in the air for the Valentine visit as cards and treats were handed out. The group collected from an army of crafters and donated hundreds of handcrafted blankets, clothes, toiletries and other items.
