Renee Fulk
2022-2023 Veterans & Family Support National Ambassador

VFWA Headshots 2022

I would like to focus this blog on the good work of the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Veterans Service (VFW NVS).

These dedicated comrades work diligently on training and certifying the VFW Department Service Officers to help better equip them for providing much needed services and help in facilitating the VA system in filing disability claims, filing appeals for rejected claims and advocating for veterans and their families through the appeals process. The work of these dedicated individuals speaks to our tagline, “Unwavering Support for Uncommon Heroes,” and I am grateful for these heroes!

Have you thought about inviting your Department Service Officer(s) to speak at your meeting? I did several years ago when I was a Department Chairman and members loved it! They provided much-needed information to the Auxiliary members and received an overwhelming round of applause and support.

This is my last blog for the program year 2022–2023. I want to again thank National President Jane Reape for the opportunity and wonderful experience of serving as an Ambassador of the Veterans & Family Support Program. Our work does not stop!

Keep up the great work you all do for our veterans, military personnel and the families, and keep caring for the caregivers!

Looking forward to seeing many of you at National Convention in Phoenix!
