Two Goals for Two Months

As of April 30, our membership stands at 102.47% and for the 10th consecutive month we are running ahead of last year’s membership numbers. You should all be proud of the steps we are taking to grow our organization.

With two months left to in Membership year, our focus needs to remain on these two goals:

1. Ensuring that every Department reaches 100% Plus in membership (as of today we have 26 Departments that have achieved this goal).
2. Ensuring the VFW Auxiliary reaches 500,000 members by June 30, 2017 (as of today our number stands at 481,221).

The key to both of these goals lies in ensuring that we do not lose any of our continuous annual members. While we have made progress, we still have thousands of annual members who have not yet paid their 2017 dues. Please make personal contact with these members. Work together and form a calling committee in your Auxiliary. Find out why they have not paid their dues. One phone call could make the difference.

Auxiliary and Department Treasurers, I am asking that you please process dues in a timely manner.   Please do not hold any membership. I know that we are all volunteers and that sometimes we get busy with other things in our lives, however, at this time of year every member is needed and time is of the essence. Please don’t let a member’s continuous membership lapse because their dues were not processed in time.  Remember – 2017 dues not processed by June 30, 2017 will cause that member to have to rejoin our organization in order to stay a member and more importantly, their continuous membership will be lost.

I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of what you have done thus far and for what I know you will continue to do in order to grow our organization! The finish line is in sight and every Department is capable of crossing the finish line a winner. Stay motivated and stay focused and don’t forget “one more member does matters.” We can and will do this one member at a time!
