To More Goals to Attain
As of April 2, our membership stands at 101.13% and for the ninth consecutive month we are running ahead of last year’s membership numbers. What an awesome accomplishment!
We now need to focus on two goals:
- Ensuring that every Department reaches 100% Plus in membership.
- Ensuring the VFW Auxiliary reaches 500,000 members by June 30, 2017.
Both of these goals are attainable, and we need your help now!
We have done an outstanding job on recruiting new members. However, the key to success is in not only recruiting new members but ensuring that we do not lose any of our continuous Annual Members. We still have thousands of annual members who have not yet paid their 2017 dues, and hundreds of unpaid annual members for some of the larger Departments. This is where we now need to focus our efforts.
The National Organization has sent a dues reminder to every unpaid Annual Member; now it is time for you to put a personal touch on the process. Personal contact continues to be the best way to keep EVERY member of the organization. Work together by forming a calling committee in your Auxiliary and please make personal contact with these valuable members. One phone call could make the difference.
We have three (3) full months to make this happen, however, the clock is ticking and it is important that we reach these members today. Remember, any Annual Member who has not paid 2017 dues by June 30 will cease to be a continuous member and they will be terminated. After June 30 they will need to rejoin the organization. Should they be diagnosed with cancer, they would need to wait a full year before being eligible for a cancer grant. Please don’t let that happen.
Together, one member at a time, we can realize our goals. Stay motivated and stay focused. Do this to ensure we can continue the legacy of giving unwavering support to our uncommon heroes, our veterans. Thank you for everything you have done thus far and for what I know you will continue to do in order to help grow the organization!
