Membership & Leadership: Keep Up the Great Work!
It’s hard to believe it is already September! Fall is approaching and we are still slightly ahead of where we were last year at this time in membership. Now it’s time for us to “kick it into high gear.”
- Every member has the opportunity to make a difference in our organization by recruiting just one. While there are members who recruit more than just one member, recruiting just one member does Think about it…if half of our current members recruited just one member, the organization would have more than 230,000 new members. Many Departments are having a drawing for some type of prize at the end of the year for every member who recruits just one member – what a great way to promote this within your own Departments! Recruiting new members is vital to the continued growth of our organization.
- Have you sent out Dues Reminders or personally contacted your Auxiliary’s annual members to collect 2017 membership dues? While recruiting is an important element of our membership program, retention is equally important. Recruitment and retention work hand-in-hand; we need both to succeed in order to meet our goal of 100% Plus in membership.
- Department Presidents – Check your Circle of Excellence criteria often. Remember to incorporate the training aspects of the criteria into your Department meetings. Fall conferences are coming up and it’s an excellent time to utilize the Online Auxiliary Academy videos and/or your National Certified Recruiter Trainer (NCRT). If your Department does not have a NCRT, you can request a training from National Headquarters.
Thank you for all you are doing and all that you will continue to do to grow this great organization and help even more veterans!
