Membership & Leadership: Change to Department Quarterly Goals

EXTRA – EXTRA – EXTRA – you spoke and we listened. National President Colette Bishop has approved a change to the current process for quarterly goals. When your Department exceeds the number of new and rejoined members needed to attain your quarterly goal, the excess number of members attained will carry over for the following quarter – which means you don’t start at zero (0) again. We want every Department to excel in membership and we hope this change will be the incentive to do just that!

Fall is officially here and it is time for us to kick our membership into high gear. As of September 30, 2016, our National membership stands at 74.23%, which puts us ahead of where we were at this time last year.

Membership is the “heartbeat” of our organization. The work we do ensures our legacy will live on and that veterans will always be taken care of. Your first quarterly goal to earn extra money for your Department is right around the corner on October 31. Congratulations to the Departments who have already achieved their goal for new and rejoined members. Will your Department be among them?

Department Presidents – Check your Circle of Excellence criteria often; every goal can be met – it is up to you to see that it is. Are you posting to your Department Facebook page? Have your met all the criteria for Training? Remember all Department and Auxiliary Officers (Presidents, Secretaries and Treasurers) dues must be paid by December 31 or a letter/email to relieve any non-paid officer must be received by National Headquarters by that date.
