Lights, Camera, Action!

 

This is it! We are on our way to a mega hit for Membership! So many of the Departments have reached the 100% Plus Goal for Paid membership. This will help your Department with “production costs” aka awards. Every little bit helps to continue our main goal of helping our veterans, service members, their families and your community.

 

Did you ever think that your “movie” will be a nomination for the Golden MALTA? Your Conference Director has put forth an amazing “movie.” It speaks volumes at each “showing” when presented at each of your Departments. Some of the spin-off movies presented at your Mid-Year Conferences were indeed Tinsel Town-worthy!

 

The Nominations for Best Picture and Director are:

  1. Western Conference, “True Grit,” Directed by Valorie Wrinkle
  2. Southern Conference, “Grease,” Directed by Evan Smiley
  3. Eastern Conference, “Million Dollar Baby,” Directed by Cynthia Davis
  4. Big Ten Conference, “Incredibles,” Directed by Michael Maruszak

 

Each and every one of you have pushed hard to make this a banner year for the 2023-2024 Membership Program. You are riding high on all your “cinematography” work and finding new “stars” for your particular production! From bringing back members who have decided to “retire” from the silver screen (your Auxiliary), to making sure your new “understudies” (new members) understand the ways and means around the studio lot!

It shows in the numbers how your “box office revenue” (awards) has helped build the coffers for your Department. I couldn’t be more proud of all of you! You have all reached out to grow our organization and you are continuing to do so. The Academy of Membership will have a really tough time awarding the Best Movie and Director since they are all fantastic!

 

So, please continue to work on your “sequels” and always remember, by investing in the future of your Auxiliary, you will grow a successful franchise. Who knows, maybe a bobble head doll with your Director’s face!!!!
