I can’t believe this program year is near its end. We had a remarkable year and our achievements are truly commendable. Our main focus throughout the year was to build unity and teamwork within and between the VFW and its Auxiliary. As a result of our partnership and collaboration, both the VFW and its Auxiliary have been blessed with great program years.

Local Auxiliaries in all Departments worked well together, united in purpose and mission – to serve veterans, active-duty service members and their families to improve their quality of life. Our Auxiliary members played an active role in contacting our legislators – at both the state and national levels – with personal visits, emails, letters and phone calls. We also participated in forums, assisted with campaigns and promoted the “Get Out and Vote” initiative for candidates who supported legislation favorable to veterans’ issues.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for all your hard work throughout this program year in serving one another, our veterans, our service members, our youth and our communities in which we live. It has been an amazing journey for me, and as I look back on the past year, I recognize the contribution each of you made in enabling our great organization to achieve our mission and vision through legislative education and involvement! Many thanks to our National President Dee Guillory for her leadership and support.

We had one team, one goal and one mission: to make a difference in the lives of our veterans and their families. And we did! We truly lived our tagline: “UNWAVERING SUPPORT FOR UNCOMMON HEROES^®!”
