National Senior-Vice President
Peggy Haake of Kahului, Hawaii, was elected National Senior-Vice President of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States Auxiliary at its 105th National Convention in Kansas City, Mo., on July 25, 2018.
She is now in the last of five offices leading to the National Presidency, which she is expected to hold in 2019-2020.
Peggy is a Life Member of Wilbert Wah Hu Tom Auxiliary 3850, which she joined on the eligibility of her husband, Richard, who served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1970-1971. Since joining, she has served the organization in many capacities, including Auxiliary and Department (state) President, National Council Member and Western Conference Chairman for the Youth Activities program. She is a Life Member of VFW National Home, Camp Trotter in Michigan, the DAV Auxiliary and the VFW Veteran’s Village in Florida.
Peggy retired after 34 years with the Bank of Hawaii. In her spare time she enjoys bowling and volunteer work, as well as spending time with her dog, Brie, when she is outside weeding.
